He later moved to Kingsville, Texas, and first fished Baffin Bay with his future wife Susan. Kern also discusses memorable experiences on Baffin Bay; his involvement in the Gulf Coast Conservation Association; fishing and owning a cabin on Baffin Bay; his favorite fishing spot; the changes to the bay that he observed over time; what he believes success should look like for restoration efforts; and promoting stewardship among the younger generations.
